And we have a new champion… at least for now!
After five straight weeks at number one, thanks to some sluggish reactions to new releases over the last couple of weeks, The Martian has been dethroned from the top spot at the box office!

According to Box Office Mojo, both Spectre and The Peanuts Movie knocked Matt Damon's flick out of the part in their respective opening weekends from November 6-8!
In fact, Spectre — the Daniel Craig flick — was the biggest winner of them all, taking in $73 million this weekend in its first go-round in domestic theaters!
The Peanuts Movie did fairly well — it took in $45 million — but Charlie Brown couldn't end up beating James Bond at the box office this time around! LOLz!!
The Martian had to finally settle for third place after more than a month in the top spot, pulling in $9.3 million this weekend (for a total gross of nearly $200 million!).
Goosebumps ($6.9 million) and Bridge of Spies ($6.0 million) rounded out the top five.

Fortunately for theaters and the film industry, though, the big weekend from the two new movies was exactly what the doctor ordered after a few sluggish weeks in October.
What do U think — did U see anything in theaters this weekend??
