J.J. Abrams revealed to Entertainment Weekly the identity of the goggle-wearing character.
And it turns out she was on the poster chilling right next to R2-D2 and C-3PO the whole time!
Ch-ch-check her out (below)!
The director also confirmed that Nyong'o's voice can be heard in the TV spot, saying:
"I have lived long enough to see the same eyes in different people. I see your eyes. I know your eyes."
As it turns out, Maz is all about the eyes, according to Abrams. He added:
"I had some specific ideas about how she would work and what she would do. I had this pitch about these goggles that she wore. Her eyes are an important aspect of her character, and you'll see how it plays out."
It also appears fans were right when they speculated that Maz was the character handing Leia a lightsaber in the first trailer:
Abrams said that we won't be finding out too much about Maz's backstory in The Force Awakens, but it would be "coming out in other venues."
Nonetheless, the 49-year-old was willing to share a few deets of her history:
"She was a pirate for a long time… She's lived over a thousand years. She's had this watering hole for about a century, and it's like another bar that you'd find in a corner of the Star Wars universe."
AH-Mazing! We can't wait to see Maz in action when The Force Awakens hits theaters December 18!
