(Srsly, what was with that sniffling??)
Ex-Maxim Model Sam Frost Slams The Magazine For Retouching & Reusing Old Photos Of Her For A New Issue!
Yet another magazine is coming under fire for seriously retouching their photos.
This time, Maxim is facing some backlash from a former model for drastically editing photos. But that's not all they did! Sam Frost claims the publication reused old photos from earlier this year to make it seem as though she's coming back to pose for them again!
On Monday, the Australian model uploaded a clip from her radio show in which she blasts the mag for republishing old pictures of her in their December issue that are actually from a shoot she did back in February!
The brunette beauty also slammed Maxim for altering the way her body looks, venting:
"I'm smack bang right on the front cover, implying that I've done a second photoshoot, I've returned to Maxim. They've actually photoshopped my hair dark because I was blonde then and now I'm brunette. They've enhanced my boobs—I am quite flat chested and I'm ok with that—and brought in my waist."
Ugh. We don't understand why magazines think this is okay to the point that it keeps happening!
"I personally feel like it is a bit disappointing because I don't look like that. I'm a huge advocate for being a good role model for young girls and just embracing what you look like."
In September, Sam had opened up about the initial shoot, admitting that she wished she hadn't participated:
"Yeah I did actually [regret it]. I wasn't in a good head space at that time. In hindsight, I wish I didn't do it. It's one of my regrets that you live and learn and I certainly will be thinking about things more wisely."
While Maxim editor-in-chief Santi Pintado copped to changing the model's hair color, he denied everything else, saying:
"It's no secret magazines retouch images. The only thing we've done is pretty much darken her hair from the shoot. In terms of enhancements, no. We haven't really done anything to her at all. It's basically the hair colour."
Even still, updating the hue of Sam's hair to match her current locks is incredibly misleading, especially when you consider that the article mentions that she's "returned to Maxim."
