He appeared to impersonate the New York Times journalist — though since the incident, Trump has defended his controversial behavior.
In a statement on Thursday, the Republican presidential candidate maintained that he had never met Mr. Kovaleski, who suffers from arthrogryposis:
"I have no idea who this reporter, Serge Kovalski [sic], is, what he looks like or his level of intelligence. Despite having one of the all-time great memories, I certainly do not remember him. What I do know is that after 14 years and no retraction, this reporter tried to pull away from the tailgate party paragraph he wrote many years ago for The Washington Post."
The mogul continued claiming he:
"merely mimicked what I thought would be a flustered reporter trying to get out of a statement he made long ago. [If] Mr. Kovaleski is handicapped, I would not know because I do not know what he looks like. If I did know, I would definitely not say anything about his appearance."
Now, what's HIGHlarious about this entire ordeal is that the reporter has responded, saying he and Trump knew each other well and were even on a first name basis.
"Donald and I were on a first-name basis for years. I've interviewed him in his office. I've talked to him at press conferences. All in all, I would say around a dozen times, I've interacted with him as a reporter while I was at The Daily News."
Liar, liar, pants on FIREEEE!
And for those who haven't seen, ch-ch-check out the controversial clip (below)!
News is just coming in that Kim Zolciak-Biermann's son Kash, 4, was bitten by a dog at some point on Saturday night, with "traumatic injuries" so extensive, it required multiple hours of surgery afterwards.
