Now, the suspected shooter's sister is opening up about her brother's horrific crimes. Saira Khan doesn't believe her sibling can be forgiven, telling CBS News:

"I don't even know if I would forgive him. Just because of what he did."

Her husband, Farhan Kahn, also agrees that his brother-in-law's terrible actions can't possibly be justified, adding:

"With what he did, no. What he did to his own family, to his daughter, to our family, to the innocent people there — no. I wouldn't forgive him."

Saira was in complete disbelief when she learned her family members were responsible for the senseless shooting, saying:

"I can never imagine my brother or my sister-in-law doing something like this. Especially because they were happily married, they had a beautiful 6-month-old daughter. It's just mind boggling why they would do something like this."

Her husband admitted to NBC News that they've begun the legal process of adopting the defenseless six-month-old daughter Syed and his wife had left behind.

Saira wondered if she could have possibly prevented the terrible tragedy, reflecting:

"So many things I asked myself. I ask myself if I had called him that morning or the night before, asked him how he was doing, what he was up to. If I had any inclination, maybe I could have stopped it."

She is devastated that her own brother was responsible for such a gruesome attack, and gave her condolences to the victims and their loved ones, saying:

"I want to say that we are deeply saddened by what took place and we can't imagine the loss that everybody has gone through, all the people who are injured or hurt badly…our thoughts and prayers are going out to them."

Our hearts are with everyone affected during this trying time.
