Scream Queens' first season came to an epic conclusion (or did it?) on Tuesday, after a two-hour finale answered all of our questions — including the identity of the remaining Red Devil!
Other than Boone (Nick Jonas) and Gigi (Nasim Pedrad), we found out that [SPOILERS] Pete (Diego Boneta) was roped in to slaughter some victims in the Red Devil costume.

But Pete wasn't the remaining Red Devil! It was…
Hester Ulrich aka Chanel #6! The second half of the finale was all about Neckbrace divulging her secret plan and explaining to the audience just how she got away with it all (hint: by jamming a shoe heel into her eye socket!)
Lea Michele opened up to Entertainment Weekly about her villainous character, and if she plans on returning for season 2!
Even though creator Ryan Murphy knew all along that Hester was the killer, Michele found out even after some of her cast members! She explained:
"I found out in New York. [Keke Palmer, Emma Roberts, and I] were at EW Fest. They had gotten the script. I hadn't gotten it yet because I was traveling to New York. I was like 'Oh, did you get the final script? … Who's the killer?' And they were like, 'It's you.' I was like, 'Are you serious?' And they were like, 'Yeah, you get away with it.' I marched right over to Ryan [Murphy], and I was like, 'Okay, but am I going to live? Is everything fine?' He's like, 'Yeah, you get away with it.' I got to go home a few days later to New Orleans and read the script and got the whole breakdown."
While "shocked" at first, the actress says she's "grateful" Murphy assigned her the killer role, especially since it provided a whole new part of the character to play!

One of the most difficult parts of the series for the Glee alum was Hester's intense speech when she accused the Chanels of being behind the Red Devil killings, because she had a fever while they were filming the scene! She continued:
"I've had some intense dialogue thrown at me on Glee, some really big, long Rachel Berry speeches and stuff like that…but that [scene] was definitely one of the hardest things I've ever done because it was all factual, and it had to be done so precisely… [and] I was so sick. I had a fever of like 102. It was late at night, [and] it took us two days to film, so when that was done, even though it wasn't the actual wrap of the show, it felt like the wrap to me."
As for the finale's shocking final moments, with someone in the Red Devil costume standing over Chanel, Michele isn't sure what to think:
"I think it could have been [Hester], but it also could have been a dream…I know that next year Ryan wants to have a completely different killer, so I think that might have been a dream. Maybe it's Hester letting them out of the institution? Who knows? I don't know, but I wouldn't put anything past Ryan Murphy."
And if the actress has it her way, we will DEFINITELY be seeing more of Hester in season 2! She added:
"Ryan is not getting rid of me. We can do many more seasons of Scream Queens, then we can reboot Glee. We're just going to keep going. He's such a great friend. He's such a genius…Look at these two different, incredible characters that he's written for me. I think whatever he has in mind for season 2 [would] be incredible."
We would LOVE to see Hester return for more slaughtering in season 2, or maybe join forces with the good guys to take on a NEW killer?
