Taylor Swift Is Trying To Trademark '1989,' 'Blank Space,' & MORE! Find Out Which Phrases She Wants To Lock Down!

Taylor sure has a way with words!

Thinking about making some quick cash off Taylor Swift's lyrics and song titles? Think again!

A report came out on Thursday that the pop princess is working on trademarking a whole slew of stuff like "blank space," "and I'll write your name," "Swiftmas," "a girl named girl," and "1989."

Yup, you read that last one right. She wants to own the rights to that date.

But here's how it would work, Perezcious readers. If her application gets approved, no one else will be able to use those words on clothes, in performances, in books, or on other merchandise.

However, the 1989 trademark will only apply to a "stylized form" of the year. So, we're guessing this means no one will be able to sell products with the date in the same font that appears on her album.

The 25-year-old also trademarked "this sick beat," "nice to meet you, where you been," and "party like it's 1989" earlier this year.

And for those of you wondering, A Girl Named Girl is supposedly a novel the blonde beauty wrote when she was 14 years old.

Apparently, her parents still have the book and it's never been published. Sooooo, if TayTay feels the needs to trademark its title, does that mean she plans on publishing it soon?!

We sure hope so!
