Our hearts are breaking over this social media celeb split!
But, Miz Ballinger stressed that her former flame didn't wrong her in any way, adding:
Instead, the singer clarified that they ultimately weren't a good fit together:
Last week, the studio behind the hit franchise hinted that it was exploring new plot lines and spin off opportunities to continue the series after Mockingjay — Part 2!
Lionsgate exec Michael Burns even said the series could "live on and on" like Harry Potter!
But if the studio wants to bring Katniss back to the big screen, J.Law made it clear she won't be the one playing the role!
"I wouldn't be involved. I think it's too soon. They've got to let the body get cold, in my opinion."
We could understand why she feels that way — why play the same character in a studio-generated prequel when you can nab literally any other role in Hollywood?!
While the 25-year-old might need a breather from Panem, it doesn't sound like she needs a break from filming movies with Silver Linings Playbook director David O. Russell, who pitched her the role of Joy in an appropriately eccentric way!
"David called me in the middle of the night a year and a half, maybe two years ago, and said, ‘Would you like to play the woman who invented the Miracle Mop, Joy Mangano?' I was like, ‘Absolutely, let me go back to sleep and I'll call you tomorrow.'"
As for a Hunger Games prequel, we guess the movies would have to take place well before Katniss.
That or the role will have to be played by some other lucky starlet — but would it still be a big hit??
What do YOU think?
Would you watch a 'Hunger Games' prequel without J.Law?
