Adam Levine was REALLY excited when his contestant Jordan Smith won season nine of The Voice!
Mostly because he was happy for his mentee, but also so he could rub his victory in the face of fellow coach Blake Shelton! LOLz!
After the live finale Tuesday night, the Maroon 5 frontman revealed that his team's victory this season felt "so good" on a "completely selfish level."

Speaking to ET, Levine said:
"It's really quite beautiful because Jordan gets to win The Voice and I get to tear Blake apart for the next six months… [I'll be] bragging about my win and his drought of victory. It's gonna be great."
The two OG judges developed a heated competition after Team Adam won the show's debut season back in 2011 — but then Team Blake won the next three consecutive seasons!
With Smith's win, Team Adam now has three titles to Team Blake's four — but Levine won't let that stop him from gloating for the next six months! He added:
"I'm gonna think of new and exciting ways to make him feel terrible. It's gonna be really fun."
Levine made sure to thank Smith, who was "still blown away" by his win!

While we're happy for Adam's victory, we don't think Blake will be complaining about season 9 either!
