Keith Urban Bids Final Farewell To His Late Father — Report Says Nicole Kidman & Daughters Were 'Too Grief-Stricken To Attend' Funeral

Sad.

Keith Urban's father, Robert (Bob) Urban, passed away on December 5 after battling cancer. Hundreds of people came out on Thursday to pay their respects at the funeral held at the Gregson & Weight Chapel in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.

Bob is survived by his wife Marienne, his two sons Keith and Shane, and a total of four grandchildren including Keith and wife Nicole Kidman's daughters, Sunday and Faith — who called their late grandfather "Poppa Bob."

The 48-year-old country crooner addressed the congregation saying:

"I am so deeply grateful that Dad is not suffering anymore. I loved him so much and did not want him to suffer like he was towards the end…he now has given me all the peace that I need to create this new spiritual relationship with my father."

Following Keith and Shane's touching eulogy, their mother gave an emotional speech in which she called Bob her "soul mate" while Shane's two children played the piano and guitar.

Sounds like a beautiful tribute their late father.

Noticeably absent from the funeral was Keith's clan — Nicole, Sunday, and Faith — who were reportedly too "grief-stricken to attend."

We can imagine this time is extremely difficult, especially considering Kidman lost her own father just last year.

Our thoughts continue to be with the Urban family during this very hard time.
