Doctor Strange totally just put a spell on us!
We can't wait to see Benedict Cumberbatch take on the title role in Marvel's new superhero film, especially after seeing him as the character on EW's new cover!
Filming only began in November for the upcoming superhero flick, but Entertainment Weekly offered a magical early peek at the titular comic book hero — so early, it was one of the first times Cumberbatch tried on his costume!

The Sherlock star is still in the process of immersing himself into the character of Doctor Stephen Strange — a self-centered surgeon who transforms into a watchful sorcerer!
The actor explained how he's still figuring out the appropriate ways to gesture when conducting spells, as he is meticulously rehearsing different movements. He said:
"I'm still in the infancy of learning all that. It was like, okay, I've got to keep throwing these poses, these spells, these rune-casting things, everything he does physically. I'm thinking, there's going to be a huge amount of speculation and intrigue over the positioning of that finger as opposed to it being there, or there. And I'm still working on that. We haven't played any of those scenes yet. I felt really self-conscious. But, then, by the end, it was great. It's like anything, you just have to experiment."
Never say Benedict Cumberbatch doesn't prepare for a role!
It looks like we can expect an intense ride when watching the film, as the 39-year-old says, "there's going to be crazy sh*t going on."
