Britney Spears is just dishing the dirt lately!
On 103.5 KTU's Cubby & Carolina In The Morning, Britney dished:
Bill Cosby may be getting some good news, despite recently being slapped with an arrest warrant!
As we previously reported, the TV icon was officially charged with one count of aggravated indecent assault for an alleged incident back in 2004. Yikes!
Though the comedian is about to be very wrapped up in his criminal case, he may no longer be tied up in the lawsuit brought about by Chloe Goins. In case you forgot, the Playboy model also accused Cosby of allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting her at Hugh Hefner's mansion in 2008.
Unfortunately, it appears that there has been no activity regarding her suit against the funnyman. Not to mention, the 78-year-old was reportedly never served with the lawsuit. Since Miz Goins filed her claim back in October, and the court requires service within just 90 days, the blonde beauty could be days away from missing the deadline.
Sources noted that the reason there hasn't been any activity on the case is that the complainant and the defendant are discussing a settlement option. Whoa!
This is HUGE news since the El Lay district attorney's office is looking into whether or not Bill should be prosecuted for the alleged California incident. In fact, an agreement in a civil case would essentially derail a criminal one.
Still, we have our doubts that the twosome are coming to terms on a settlement as Chloe and her lawyer Spencer Kuvin recently suggested otherwise.
In a recent interview, Chloe relayed:
"I'm glad the D.A. on that case is giving the victim a chance to have her voice heard in a court of law in a jury trial by jury. Hopefully, I will have that same opportunity as well very soon."
Does that sound like someone who is looking to settle? Her lawyer added:
"My client is very happy that Mr. Cosby will be brought to justice in the criminal court system. She hopes that the LA District attorney's will also see fit to bring charges in her case. She's always wanted him behind bars for what he's done."
