Caitlyn Jenner has had her fair share of learning experiences from the transgender community after becoming one of the most famous trans celebrities in 2015.
And on Monday, the former Olympian "learned so much" while at a screening of the movie Tangerine; a groundbreaking comedy about a trans sex-worker.
On the cusp of awards season, the KUWTK star showed her support for the film and star Mya Taylor in the first-ever Oscars campaign for trans actresses!

At a special showing she held in Hollywood, the I Am Cait star revealed that her publicist actually persuaded her to watch Tangerine, adding:
"This was a real movie about real issues in our community. We need to expose those."
Mya has already won a Gotham Award for breakthrough actress and is also nominated for best supporting actress at the Independent Spirit Awards!
Caitlyn also added that she is supporting the film in hopes of drawing attention to huge issues in the trans community — like suicide, homelessness, health care, and being victims of crime, adding:
"I want to see more understanding. I want to see the whole movement move forward. The movie brought to light the biggest issue in our community which is trans women of color."
We're so proud that Caitlyn is
finally using her voice to spread awareness, and we really hope Mya snags an Oscar nod for her moving performance!
