David Bowie's recent death from cancer is still a shock to many.
While several found out David struggled for 18-months with liver cancer, many fans were stunned to learn of the news considering the music man just released his final album Blackstar the previous Friday. The day was especially poignant since it also happened to be the father of two's 69th birthday.

Even though the singer's final single Lazarus is now clearly a goodbye song, at the time many fans had seen it as a sign that the icon was still energetic and healthy enough to make music.
In response to the tragic loss, fans have united in cities like London, Berlin, and New York to say farewell to their beloved David. One organizer of a vigil in D.B.'s hometown of Brixton, London revealed:
"It was perfect, many through the night told me it was what he would have wanted and I haven't stopped crying and singing and loving all evening."
Sounds like a very heartwarming and cathartic evening.
