It's been reported that TV star Dan Haggerty, famous for playing the iconic bearded Grizzly Adams in the ‘70s, died Friday morning at the age of 74, after a months-long battle with cancer.
Haggerty starred in the 1977 series The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams, which centered around a friendly mountain man and his wildlife friends.
The TV star also had spots on shows like CHiPs and Charlie's Angels and starred in the cult B-movie Elves.

According to sources close to the Haggerty's family, doctors discovered the cancer after he had surgery for back pain. He was getting treatment at the hospital until recently, when doctors told his family to come visit over the past few days before he passed.
This is the third star who died from cancer this week — on Sunday night, David Bowie's death was confirmed, and Alan Rickman's passing was revealed just a few days later.
Our hearts go out to Haggerty's loved ones at this tragic time.
