One thing is for sure, Celine Dion is not alone during this heartbreaking time!
As we previously reported, hundreds of mourners flocked to the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal to pay respects to the All By Myself singer's husband Rene Angélil following his death. Now that's support!
After the Grammy winner and her son Rene-Charles greeted the many grievers, as seen in the official memorial pics (above), the music icon made sure to issue a short statement to express her thanks for all of the support.

"The support we've received has been such a blessing."
It's said that a large number stood in the freezing cold for a long time, so that they might be able to say goodbye to Rene and give their condolences to the 47-year-old. The memorial service ended at 9 p.m.
Not to mention, the industry vet also lost her brother Daniel to cancer last week. If anyone needs a lot of love lately, it would be Miz Dion.
One guest who waited three hours in line noted:
"Celine is Quebec. She is an ambassador for Quebec. And this was her great love, and we had to be there for her. They're inseparable—they're like one person, and now she lost half of herself. So I feel for her. And he was such a great man, and he was such a great soul. We had to celebrate his life coming here today."
We're not crying, you're crying! Another guest added:
"I did tell Celine, 'thank you for being here' because she's receiving everyone, one person at a time, and she's taking more of her time. That's why we kind of froze for hours before getting inside: It was worth it because it wasn't like in-and-out, in-and-out – she actually took the time; she shook our hand, and some actually even kissed her. It was very personal words, even the eye contact. She was very sincere."
Wow! What a brave and considerate woman.
And on the back of the program given to those who attended the wake, Celine even had a personal note, which read:
Rene will continue to be in her music. How sweet is that??
Angélil's official funeral is on Friday at 3 p.m. Be sure to keep Celine and her loved ones in your thoughts during that time!
