UPDATE THURSDAY 8:46 PM EST: Big Ang's family has already reached their fundraising goal! In only two days, the campaign raised far more than the $25,000 target!
According to the crowdfunding site, hundreds of generous donors gifted $36,941 for the lovely lady's treatment!
This is such sad news.
Last year, we learned that Big Ang's cancer has returned. And now, we're getting more bad news about her current treatment.
On Tuesday, the Mob Wives star's sister, Janine Detore, revealed that she has not been responding to her chemotherapy.
The VH1 alum's sibling created a GoFundMe page, discussing her current condition, writing:
"As you know my sister was diagnosed with stage 4 brain and lung cancer. Chemotherapy was started January 5 th. On January 26th the doctor reviewed her CT scan and informed us that the treatment was not working, and in fact one tumor grew larger and the other tumors had no change. We were advised that she would start immunotherapy the following week."
While she mentioned Ang isn't on the brink of death, she did say that the TV personality is really struggling with her breathing, and is in an incredible amount of pain.
"This is why I am putting up this go fund me to try to help my sister to get this oil to help her at least be pain free. Angela cannot function to work anymore. I'm not sure that it will work but I'm praying . We all thank you in advance for your prayers & kind wishes. Help Big Ang fight her BIGGEST BATTLE!"
So far, the fam has raised $5,500 of their $25,000 goal. We really hope Big Ang is able to beat cancer once again, and our hearts are with her and her loved ones.
