Rory Feek continues to reflect on the precious memories with his wife Joey as she continues to bravely battle terminal cancer.
It was this time last year — nearly a year after Joey's 2014 diagnosis — that the whole family took a vacation to Hawaii in honor of Rory's 50th birthday.
Now, as the singer approaches his 51st year, he's reminiscing on how much has (and hasn't) changed over the past 365 days.

He penned to Facebook on Tuesday:
"…remembering this morning that last February, right around this time, we took a family trip together to Hawaii celebrate my upcoming birthday. What a difference a year makes. The only thing that's changed is everything. And nothing."
Feek also linked to his original blog post, which recalls "magical" moments with his wife and three daughters — Heidi and Hopie from a previous relationship and little Indiana with Joey.
"In late February, we packed out bags full of warm weather clothes (I promised Joey and the girls that I wouldn't even take a pair of bib overalls with me, and I didn't) and said goodbye to the ice and cold and landed in beautiful sunny paradise. Me, Joey, Heidi, her husband Casey, Hopie and our little Indiana. It was our favorite vacation we've ever taken. Most of the trips that we call family vacations, are actually places where we're playing a show and try to fit in a few days of being tourists around it. This one was different. There was no music, no plan, no rush… just us all being together as a family. I loved it."
