Is it May yet?
In an interview with 97.1 AMP Radio's morning show, the girls of Fifth Harmony revealed a bunch of juicy info on their sophomore album 7/27 and as well as their latest single, Work From Home. Considering Worth It became such a big hit, we suspect anticipation for this next work will be intense!
"We've gone to the next level. For this album, we've been able to work with incredible writers and producers like Max Martin's MXM team, Stargate, Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter, and Jack Antonoff… As far as the sound, I mean, we've definitely evolved into our own lane. It's still has those pop kind of anthems, but also it has the urban flavor and it kind of even has some reggae flare, as well."
Wow, we're definitely interested to hear this "reggae flare" Ally is talking about! Even the smallest musical changes can dramatically alter the sound of a band!
The singer added:
"This era is always really exciting because you kind of start again with new music and with that comes new choreography and a whole new kind of imagery around that, so that's going to be really exciting to rebuild and then go to different places and see people's reactions to it."
Well, people are already loving the video for Work From Home so we're guessing nothing but good vibes here!
As for how the group's lives have changed now that they're increasing in popularity, songstress Lauren Jauregui mused:
"We've been growing and we've been experiencing the craziest things. We've had to grow up in such a strange way, probably. And we've discovered ourselves, all of us in such different ways. We've grown in ways that we couldn't have done without each other, and we honestly couldn't have done without probably this experience.
We've met such incredible people that have shaped us into the women we are right now, and we feel like this is the next era. This is that time we're going to show how much growth we've accomplished in those years, and we can finally show the world what we want to."
Sounds exciting! We can't wait.
