You heard it straight from Ms. Norbury's mouth!
We've been hearing about the rumored Mean Girls musical for years now — but as time goes on, fans have been starting to wonder if the a stage adaptation of the 2004 film was just too good to be true.
Luckily, Tina Fey put our nerves to rest by confirming the musical version of her cult comedy is still coming!

During a New York Times panel series on Wednesday, the Whisky Tango Foxtrot star was asked about the possibility of the long-rumored musical actually happening.
After dancing around the subject a bit, the writer confessed:
"My husband [composer] Jeff Richmond and I, [along with lyricist] Nell Benjamin, have been working on it."
Grool! But don't be expecting to see the Plastics take the Broadway stage anytime soon!
While Fey confirmed that the musical was still happening, she made sure the crowd was aware that it was still "years away" from actually coming to fruition.
Between filming major motion pictures, producing Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and raising her kids, we don't blame Tina for taking her time!
