For the past few months, Hayden Panettiere has been super honest about her struggle with postpartum depression.
Last October, she announced she was checking herself into rehab to battle the illness, and even took some time off her hit show, Nashville, to cope with the disease.

However, the 26-year-old explained to Yahoo Style that it wasn't easy to make that announcement, saying:
"I was always so terrified that people weren't going to accept me. I finally just went, I'm tired of living afraid. I'm tired of living in fear of what people are going to think, so, you know, I'm just going to put it all out there on the table and I'm not going to worry about the judgment."
But it turns out the momma-of-one didn't have anything to worry about, because she was met with kind words and ample support. She admitted to being completely overwhelmed — in a good way — by the public's reaction, adding:
"The more open I was, the more acceptance I got from people. I got so much support and so much love. I was floored. I feel much more exposed, yes, but in a great way."
And for the small few who weren't so accepting of the gorgeous gal's struggle, she's got a message for them! The lovely lady says of anyone who denounces PPD:
"It's like you have no idea what you're talking about. If you think for one second that a mother wants to feel that way toward her child, you're outta your mind. It is one of the most debilitating, scary, guilty feelings that you can ever feel. That a mother would not be able to connect with their child, would not be able to get a grip, or would not know what's going on, for anybody to say that it's false or created by us, you must have your head examined."
But now, the blonde beauty is back on the ABC drama, ready to return to the small screen as Juliette! However, it's been a bit difficult for the acclaimed actress, considering her character is still struggling with the same sickness.
She opened up about that challenge, confessing:
"It was strange having to throw myself back into that frame of mind. The way I do things is to pull from my own personal experience and sometimes even turn myself into what I'm portraying so that I can pull from my life and step into that person's shoes by being able to relate."
And while getting back into character might be tough for the fierce female, we're just glad she seems to be feeling better, and can't wait to see her triumphant Nashville return!
