Donald Trump is hitting back at his haters.
Ever since the GOP frontrunner declared he'd love to punch a protester in the face at a Las Vegas rally last month, his campaign has taken a turn for the violent.
Because earlier this week, a Trump supporter took his words to heart by literally punching a protester in the face at a North Carolina rally!

And just as expected, the former Apprentice host defended his backers' right to "hit back" at campaign event protesters during a press conference on Friday!
When asked if he was "playing a character" when making violent threats, The Donald argued that his protesters were the violent ones, explaining:
"These are people that punch. People that are violent people. The particular one where I said 'I'd like to bang him,' that was a very vicious – a guy who was swinging, very loud, and then started swinging at the audience."
Defending his own comments soon turned into condoning the violent behavior of his supporters, adding:
"You know what? The audience swung back. And I thought it was very, very appropriate. He was swinging. He was hitting people. And the audience hit back. And that's what we need a little bit more of."
Ugh. We're not the least bit surprised in his response.
