How do you solve a problem like Maria Sharapova?
Well, according to her former coach, you don't have to — because she didn't do anything wrong in the first place!
The tennis star is currently under fire after admitting to failing a drug test at the Australian Open last week, and while she's been suspended from playing for the time being, one industry pro is still on her team.

Coach Robert Lansdorp trained Maria back when she was just 11 years old, and now he's saying there's "no way in hell" that the 28-year-old would intentionally break the rules!
In fact, the tennis mentor spoke to the Daily Mail on Tuesday accusing the World Anti-Doping Agency of causing a witch hunt, saying:
"I think it's a witch hunt to tell you the truth, by WADA… there is something funny going on…
I don't know the details, but she didn't do it on purpose. It's impossible…
There's no way she would cheat. No way in hell would she have taken drugs knowing it was illegal, especially Maria with an image she has — her image is squeaky clean — so she wouldn't take a chance."
While that does makes sense, we can't help but think that a professional athlete would know what they're putting into their body at all times — even if it was a doctor giving it to them.
But Robert's support may have come too late, because it was also announced Tuesday morning that Maria has been stripped of her position as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador!
Does cheating doesn't make her any less of a humanitarian?
What do YOU think??
