It has been a couple months since rumors first started flying that Amber Heard was in talks with Warner Bros to appear as the character Mera in Justice League.
While we've had plenty of other superhero news from Robert Downey Jr. talking about Iron Man 4 to J.K. Simmons joining the Justice League cast — and let's not forget the first look at the new Spider-Man — we haven't heard much more about Amber's aquatic queen — until now!

The blonde beauty confirmed her role in the upcoming slate of DC films to Entertainment Tonight — and even chatted about her "strange" costume she'll have to wear!
During a press junket for her upcoming film The Adderall Diaries, Heard revealed:
"It's interesting. I'm wearing, like, half suit of armor, half scales. It's strange. But we're in the process of building it now. It's coming along."
Hmmm, interesting indeed!
The first DC Expanded Universe film is Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, will also introduce Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman!

After BvS's release on March 25, director Zack Snyder will begin filming Justice League Part One, in which DC's trinity will be joined by Amber's character Mera, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Jason Momoa as Aquaman!
We'll have to wait until November 17, 2017 to see that one.
Once the epic superhero movie wraps though, Johnny Depp's wife won't have much time before she begins filming Aquaman with Momoa and director James Wan, which has a release date set for July 27, 2018!
Are you excited about Heard's involvement in the superhero universe?!
