On Friday, the Aussie artist opened up to Power 106 FM's J Cruz about all the hate she had gotten over the past year, and how it affected her both emotionally and psychologically.
While discussing her lowest point, the rapper revealed:
"There were times when I just wanted to quit life, the whole thing, really."
The radio personality asked the gorgeous gal if she felt suicidal, and IggyIggs responded:
"Kinda, sometimes I did. Sometimes I would be driving through the canyons to get to my horses and I would be like, 'What if I just kept driving off the canyon?'"
Woah. We had no idea the 25-year-old had been struggling that much.
"It wasn't the comments. It was that people made it seem, and it's like people that I work with in the industry too, like 'Oh, this is it for your career now, so what are you gonna do?'"
Nick Young's fiancée explained that she was devastated to think about losing her job, because she's in the U.S. on a work visa and couldn't imagine her entire life being taken away if she was forced to leave the country.
"It can make a person feel like, well what do I have left to live for?"
But the hitmaker said her love of animals got her through the dark days:
"I would always just think that if I can just make it down to my horses and just go ride my horses and see how I feel after that, and I always felt better after I did that. And just take it day by day."
In fact, she says the low point helped her repair some of her relationships:
"I'm glad it happened. I don't think I would've bothered to reconnect with my friends… if it weren't for the fact that everybody else, I felt like, kind of gave up on me."
We're so glad that Iggy seems to be in a better place now. We love that she looks happy and healthy again! For her whole emotional admission, watch out the video (below):
