Still shocked from Erin Moran's death late last night.
She was just 56 years old.
On Monday, it was revealed that Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are facing a lawsuit for their grown son Chet Hanks (AKA Chet Haze)'s car accident from over a year ago. WHAT?
In case you forgot, the Toy Story star's son allegedly rear-ended a driver named Terry Moogan while "driving his vehicle in an unreasonable and unsafe manner" on one of the major freeways in Southern California. Not to mention, the plaintiff is also accusing the 25-year-old of being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol at the time.
Yikes! Since Tom and Rita are Chet's parents and the owners of the vehicle involved in the accident, Terry's legal team is claiming that they too are responsible for the physical and emotional injuries their client received due to the collision. Oh, no.
"Despite knowing that Chester Hanks was careless and reckless driver and a habitual user of drugs and alcohol, they negligently permitted Chester Hanks to operate their vehicle."
Well that doesn't sound very promising. It's said that the suit is currently seeking unspecified damages.
What's inneresting about this case is that the aspiring rapper wasn't arrested for a DUI at the time and that the police reportedly weren't even called to the scene. How odd!
Nonetheless, Chet's battle with addiction is no secret as he opened up last year about his struggles with abusing cocaine. Here's hoping this legal matter can be settled out of court before it gets too messy!
