Game Of Thrones' Kit Harington Says A Real-Life Royal Asked Him If Jon Snow Was Really Dead — And The Answer, Sadly, Is YES!
And when he stopped by The Jonathan Ross Show this week, the actor revealed even real-life royal fans have no problem bugging him about the fate of his on screen character!
In the sit down, the 29-year-old confessed the Duchess of Cornwall leaned over to him at a Wimbledon event and asked the question on every fan's mind.
"Me and my brother got invited to Wimbledon as you do and a Royal was hosting, we didn't know which Royal it was and it was the Duchess of Cornwall and she was hosting it and we got sat with her, me and my brother…She leaned over the table and said, "Are you dead?" No word of a lie."
We hope the actor obliged — he should know better than anyone else that defying a royal decree has some serious consequences!
Like he has before, Harington admitted that he was on set for "a month or two" filming the HBO fantasy series' upcoming sixth season but once again insisted that he was only there to play a corpse!
He added, smirking:
"I won't tell you how many episodes I'm lying dead but it's enough that I was out there for quite a while. It's going to be so satisfying when you see it and you realize that I was telling the truth the whole time."
When the host asked Harington how he kept the show's top-secret plot under wraps from his family and friends, the actor quipped:
"I am no longer involved in the show so any secrets that are with the show I don't actually know anymore, so it becomes very easy, Jonathan… You're looking at me like you don't believe me. It's going to be so relieving when people actually see the show and realize that I don't come back."
Well, that doesn't look too good for our ill-fated Night's Watchman.
Whether Jon Snow really is dead or not, we're sure the actor can't wait for the upcoming season to air so fans stop inquiring about his character's fate!
