It's no secret that Mischa Barton has had a lot of personal struggles she's dealt with over the years.
Since the blonde beauty's DUI in 2007 that caused her to move to London, she has opened up a lot about her meltdown during her time on The O.C. as well as her struggle with depression.

Now the young veteran actress is back in the spotlight, competing on the current season of Dancing With The Stars — before being eliminated Monday night anyway.
When People asked the sadly eliminated contestant why she left the Hollywood life after her hit Fox show, Mischa was actually very candid!
The 30-year-old dished:
"I just got to this place where I needed space. I needed to rediscover what I loved about being an actress because, at a certain point, I was robbed of the fun aspects by being that much under the microscope."
Mischa continued by saying:
"It was one of those times that things culminated for better or worse. So I moved to Europe and was able to take time and really explore who I was and who I wanted to be."

The actress ended up spending quite a bit of time with her peers as a student at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts; she recalled her time away:
"I needed that time for myself to really do that self-exploration and get back in touch with my roots. I just needed time to be me and be a regular person. That balance is important. I am nothing but happy to have had that time in my life."
Though Miz Barton had struggles, she seems to have accepted her troubled times stating:
"I was 17 years old and fresh out of high school in New York when I got cast on The O.C. It was a huge time in my life and I'm grateful for it. Now, I can embrace it and be happy about it."
Now that Mischa is back on the small screen, she's not taking anything for granted. On her time with DWTS, she said:
"It's been a wonderful experience. It really has."
Though you won't see Mischa on DWTS anymore, you can still keep up with the competition when it airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC!
