Case in point: NBC just went ahead and ordered eight episodes of Law & Order: True Crime on Wednesday!
The anthology series that totally isn't just a ripoff of Ryan Murphy's O.J. Simpson trial recreation will follow the case of Erik and Kyle Menendez, who were found guilty of murdering their parents back in 1996.
What's strange about this news is that L&O is strictly a procedural, so we're not sure how well the Peacock Network is going to do having to write one overarching plotline…
Plus, how isa story set in the '90s going to factor in to Dick Wolf's modern day universe of shows; which already includesLaw & Order: SVU, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and the upcoming Chicago Law?
With that said, we always love us some Dick, so we're cool with whatever he wants to shove down our throats.
Will U be tuning in for Law & Order: True Crime in 2017??
On Saturday, Todd Fisher, and his wife, Catherine Hickland, organized a public memorial service for his sister, Carrie Fisher, and mom, Debbie Reynolds, who died just a day apart back in December.
The beautiful service was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, and was live-streamed on Reynolds' website for all to experience.
Celebs, fans, and animals alike gathered to celebrate the lives of the legendary actresses with an event that featured a tribute song from James Blunt, a performance from the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, a dance tribute from the Debbie Reynolds dance school, and tons of costumes and memorabilia on display.
