The former President was speaking Thursday in Philadelphia on behalf of his wife's campaign for the White House, and when Black Lives Matter protesters disrupted the event, he refused to be shouted down.
Protesters started yelling through the crowd about his record regarding mass incarceration and poverty of African-Americans during his time as President back in the 1990s, and they tried to link his programs — and beliefs — to Hillary Clinton and her campaign!
But according to Bill, the protesters got it wrong, ESPECIALLY about Hillary! He went at it with the screaming audience for more than ten straight minutes, defending the couple's record!
There were quite a few mic drop moments in Bill's impromptu response to the protesters, but maybe the best one happened when BLM activists accused him and Hillary of not caring about releasing certain offenders from prison (below), and he responded:
"I don't know how you would characterize the gang leaders who got 13-year-old kids hopped on crack and sent them out on the street to murder other African-American children. Maybe you thought they were good citizens. [Hillary] didn't. You are defending the people who kill the lives you say matter. Tell the truth."
