Looks like Donald Trump's kids weren't the only voters who fudged up their registration this year!
Some high profile voters in California who thought they were registering as "independent" accidentally registered as members of the American Independent Party instead!
According to the Los Angeles Times, stars like Demi Moore, Emma Stone, and Kaley Cuoco are now among the nearly half a million registered members of the ultraconservative party.

In a recent telephone survey, the newspaper found that nearly three in four people did not realize they had joined the party — which opposes abortion rights and same sex marriage, and even calls for building a fence along the entire U.S. border.
Most of the voters took the word "independent" to mean they had no party affiliation — but in California, those who don't want to register with a party are supposed to check "no party preference."
And while the AIP declares itself as "The Fastest Growing Political Party in California," it's members are starting to realize that they actually registered to a party even Trump would roll his eyes at — and are quickly re-registering!
Stone and boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard plan to re-register before the June election, as well as Patrick Schwarzenegger — who accidentally registered with the AIP back in 2013!

A rep for Miz Moore said she "is not, nor has ever been, a member of the American Independent Party. Any record that states otherwise is a mistake."
And Cuoco is cutting ties from the party ASAP, telling the Times:
"The views of this party do not accurately reflect my personal beliefs and I am not affiliated with any political party. As such, I am taking the necessary steps to immediately remove my name as a member of this voting party."
Sounds like the American Independent Party will now be known as "The Fastest Shrinking Political Party in California!" LOLz!
