The crash took place in Pompano Beach at just about 3 p.m. EST, and we're hearing that the pilot and two passengers — two men and one woman — were severely burned by the accident, but are currently being treated at nearby hospitals and are expected to survive!
Pompano Beach Fire Chief John Jurgle commented on the nearly fatal crash, simply saying:
"I think there's some very lucky people in Pompano."
We'd sure say so — the homeowner miraculously avoided any injuries himself, despite being home at the time!
However, there have also been reports that the plane belonged to the Florida Aviation Academy and was being flown with registration that expired way back in February.
