Is it a little too late?
On Monday, it was reported that Kelly Ripa was issued a formal apology from Disney and ABC executives for "blindsiding" her with Michael Strahan's announcement that he's leaving Live! With Kelly & Michael for Good Morning America. Well good!
As you may know, the blonde beauty was PISSED when the network's head honchos revealed that the former NFL star would be leaving his co-hosting duties with Miz Ripa for a prime spot on GMA. Not to mention, rumors also began circulating that Live! may be cancelled in order to extend the other morning show by an hour — which resulted in the former soap opera star leaving her show for some vacation time a day early.

Dramaaa! However, it looks like the industry execs have realized that they totally messed up as they've apologized to Kelly and Michael over the blundered announcement. A source shared:
"[The executives] expressed regret for the way Kelly was told the news."
It's said the apology tour featured president of the Disney-ABC Television Group Ben Sherwood, ABC stations president Rebecca Campbell, and ABC News president James Goldston. Way to make ‘em sweat, Ripa!
Reportedly, the 45 year old was told of Strahan's move only 30 minutes before the news broke in the media. An insider noted:
"We had a plan which obviously did not go as planned."
Yeah, we'd say so! Nonetheless, it appears that this gesture has helped bring Kelly back to her hosting duties as she is still scheduled to return today.
Although, despite the gossip, we have a feeling the duo are going to play nice for the cameras as Kelly emailed her staff last Friday:
"We are a family and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning."
Regardless, we'll be tuning in to see if any drama unfolds. Will YOU?
