So, it was a pretty big deal when Carlin Q. Williams filed legal papers on Monday, making a paternity claim against the singer's estate.
The Missouri man is demanding a blood test to determine whether or not the icon is his biological father, like him mother is insisting.
Now, we're learning a little bit more about the songsmith's supposed son.
The Kansas City resident is 39 years old, and currently in federal prison for gun possession. Carlin claims his momma, Marsha Henson, met the musician in July of 1976, and they shared a drink at Crown Center Hotel.
The woman alleges in an affidavit that she and the hitmaker checked into a room at the Kansas City hotel together, where they had unprotected sex.
She also swears that she didn't sleep with anyone six weeks before the alleged encounter, nor for the entire duration of her pregnancy.
This news comes just days after the performer's estate became authorized to test his blood against the DNA of any potential paternity claims. Up until this point, it seemed the artist's vast fortune would be split between his siblings.
But if Carlin does, in fact, turn out to be Prince's son, he'll become the sole heir. Unless, of course, more children surface.
