Brit giveth, and Brit taketh away!
We've been expecting Britney Spears to release her long-awaited single Make Me (Oooh) sometime this week — but it looks like we have to wait a little longer!
Inside sources are now saying the pop icon's new track will be delayed due to "technical production difficulties!" Oh no!

According to the Las Vegas Sun, the technical gaff was outside the Toxic singer and her management's control and will delay the release of the video and single until later this summer!
An insider also said not to expect a preview of the new track anytime soon either, dishing:
"There's no point in Britney previewing it so far in advance if we don't even have a new release date yet. She is like us truly saddened that matters outside our hands have set back the hoped-for schedule."
Well, it sounds like Brit is just as disappointed as we are! What the heck could the difficulties be??
As for when Make Me (Oooh) will make its debut, the source kept it vague in terms of a release date, adding:
"We're told that it'll now be later in the summer, but we don't even know exactly when yet until production hiccups are resolved."
Uh oh! Looks like we might have another Anti on our hands!
At least we'll still get to see Brit perform her greatest hits medley at the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday!
