Justin Trudeau, everyone's favorite HOTT Canadian Prime Minister (you know, the one with the AB-Mazing core strength), is in a bit of trouble after he elbowed a female legislator on the Parliament floor!
On Wednesday, Trudeau was walking across the House of Commons in order to direct Conservative whip Cord Brown to his seat so that voting could begin when a group of New Democrats surrounded Brown to prevent him from sitting in an attempt to block the vote on an assisted dying bill.
Well, the Prime Minister reached between the New Democrats to try and grab Brown's arm when he appeared to inadvertently elbow legislator Ruth Ellen Brousseau in the chest!
The leader of the Green Party, Elizabeth May, witnessed the incident and said:
"It was most unwise of the prime minister to attempt to move along the vote. But the second contact with [Brousseau], which is certainly the one that was the most emotional for the member involved, was clearly, from my perspective … unintentional."
Unfortunately for the the 44-year-old politician, not everyone sees it that way as New Democratic leader Tom Mulcair allegedly shouted across the House of Commons saying:
"What kind of man elbows a woman? It's pathetic! You're pathetic!"
Brousseau also spoke about the incident, explaining:
"I was elbowed in the chest by the prime minister and then I had to leave. I missed the vote because of this."
Of course, Trudeau did his best to clear things up and apologized after the incident stating:
"I admit that I came in physical contact with a number of members as I extended my arm, including someone behind me whom I did not see. I certainly did not intend to offend or impact on anyone. I apologize for that unreservedly and I look for opportunities to make amends."
We seriously doubt Justin meant to elbow anyone on purpose! Don't take our word for it though, check out the footage yourself (below):
Do you think the Prime Minister elbowed Ruth on purpose?!
