We were so happy when Colton Haynes shared his story and came out as gay!
But we weren't the only ones! The 27-year-old's Arrow costar Stephen Amell was also thrilled that The CW alum was willing to open up about his sexuality.
Video: Watch Colton HIGHlariously Parody The Gender Wage Gap!
The gorgeous guy explained to E! News on Friday that he's super supportive of the hunky actor's decision, saying:
"He's a good guy and he's a good actor…Such a goodhearted gentle loving guy. I'm happy that he's happy."
We wholeheartedly agree!
And, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 star even admitted that there have been times when people have tried to get him to spill secrets about Colton's sexual preference, recalling:
"A fan three or four months ago at a Comic-Con convention basically tried to bait me into outing him. I got in touch with [Colton] and was like, 'Hey, man, this happened [and] I didn't know what to say. I simply deflected and we moved on.'…He emailed me back and said, 'You know, I really appreciate that and I've recently made some decisions over the past few months and I'm excited about what's in the future.' I'm excited for him, too."
Awwwwww! The famous father is such a good confidante!
In the interview where the Teen Wolf alum came out, he also addressed his lifelong struggle with anxiety, which is something the Canada native noticed when they worked together, remembering:
"I've seen him struggle with anxiety and that's why he, well certainly one of the reasons why, he left Teen Wolf and he left Arrow."
But the 35-year-old confessed that the Hollywood hottie seems to be doing much better now, adding:
"When he came back to Arrow this year simply for an episode, it was such a different version of Colton. He and I bonded more. I'm very very happy for him."
That bond is REAL, because the babe dished that the former MTV actor sends him silly shots sometimes:
"He sent me a very funny text message yesterday for National Send a Nude day…He enjoyed it and so did I."
National Send a Nude day?! Go on…
The father-of-one teased:
"It might have been Colton and I engaged in some after hours Arrow cave activity with our heads Photoshopped on other bodies. I'll leave it at that."
Anyway, he also said Colton is totally welcome back on the superhero drama whenever he wants, exclaiming:
"All he has to do is basically show up and we'll write him in."
We're loving how supportive Stephen is!
