We hope this isn't true.
Rumors are circulating Tom Cruise has abandoned his "sick" 79-year-old mother Mary Lee Mapother and reportedly wasn't present for a family boat trip on Mother's Day.
According to reports, Mary Lee just recently moved from an El Lay assisted-living home to Clearwater, Florida — not far from Scientology's headquarters. So Tom might actually be more involved than it appears…
RadarOnline says the National Enquirer obtained photos earlier this month of Cruise's momma wearing breathing tubes as she was helped from a car into a wheelchair during a Tom-less family outing.

A source shared:
"It's stunning that someone who had been so close to his mother growing up could not be there for her when she's doing so poorly, especially on Mother's Day."
Tom was pictured last month in England on set with Annabelle Wallis filming The Mummy (above) so it's possible he was just working! Looking for the benefit of the doubt here, people!
The outlet does say the May 8 excursion was organized by Cruise's adopted son, Connor. Also present were Cruise's sister Marian Henry's family, Mapother's two nurses, and one of Connor's friends.
So at least Mary Lee was surrounded by some loved ones!
Meanwhile, People reports the 53-year-old actor may be gearing up to move to Clearwater himself as he just sold his $40 million Beverly Hills mansion.
An insider close to the Top Gun star said:
"Tom has long planned to leave L.A. He doesn't need to be there for work – he's off doing movies all around the world. It's not the center of his life anymore."
We're sure that'd be great for his relationship with his mother!
