Well now we have some new info that seems to confirm Daniel leaving — because he'll be WAY too busy to take on the role!
Though we already knew Rachel Weisz's hubby was cast in his first TV series Purity, now Deadline reports the stud is finalizing a deal to join Steven Soderbergh's Logan Lucky, along with Katherine Heigl!
The film follows two brothers that come up with a plan for a crime during a NASCAR race in Charlotte, North Carolina. Though there aren't a whole lot of other details about the plot, but we do know Soderbergh's flick is planning to start filming next fall!
With Craig slated for a 20 episode TV show as well as a movie, it seems HIGHLY unlikely that the Brit would have time for another Bond, even if he wanted to!
This leaves the role open to several other actors that are rumored to be in the running to play the MI6 agent including Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Tom Hiddleston, Gillian Anderson, and most recently Billy Elliot's Jamie Bell!
