Jerry O'Connell might be playing a hot male nanny on the small screen — but he's totally not down with having one IRL!
The 42-year-old actor — who shares 7-year-old twin girls Dolly and Charlie with wife Rebecca Romijn — told Us Weekly that he wouldn't be comfortable with someone like his character on Mistresses hanging around his family.
"I'm not sure if given the chance to hire myself as a manny in my family, I don't think I would allow that to happen. I'm sorry if that's closed-minded of me. I just wouldn't allow that — I wouldn't be comfortable with that. I would explain to my wife and to my children that I was not comfortable with a manny around."
What's he so afraid of?!
But, considering the crazy number of Nannygates we've been witnessing, we guess we can't blame him!
The NYC native also said it was strange being the only real-life parent on the female-driven cast:
"It is pretty shocking to me that I'm the only one who has kids on this cast, so literally everyone thought I was like Dr. [Benjamin]Spock. Everyone thought I was a baby expert."
"It's funny — when you're a parent, and you have kids, when you see a crying baby, you just go to it. You just do. I'm shocked I'm that person as well because before I had kids, I didn't really care for them. [But] especially these little babies in showbiz, they are cute little babies. You can't help! Feeding the baby again, it really made me want to have another one."
Well we're not sure why he finds it odd the women on set don't have kids… or why it's OK to have female nannies and not male nannies, for that matter…
But we're going to let that slide for now and focus on that fact that he's wanting more kids! Woo!
