Earlier this week, it was revealed that Christian rocker Trey Pearson has come out as gay. LOVES it!
For an interview with (614) Magazine, the Everyday Sunday frontman admitted that he tried to overcome his attraction to men so that he wouldn't be scorned by the Christian community. Poor thing!

"I never wanted to be gay. I was scared of what God would think and what all of these people I loved would think about me; so it was never an option for me."
Intense stuff! In fact, the desire to squash his interest in men led him to marry his wife eight years ago. The couple has two children together.
However, he's since come to terms with his identity as he added:
"[I] never going to be who my wife needed me to be."
We couldn't be prouder of Trey for coming to terms with who he is. But what about his current relationship with Christianity?
Well, it seems that the rock star couldn't be more confident in his beliefs. Pearson concluded:
"There is absolutely no conflict with accepting who I am and following Jesus. God wants me to be healthy, authentic, whole, integrated and my truest self."
Not to mention, Trey isn't the only Christian musician to come out as Anthony Williams, Jennifer Knapp, and Vicky Beeching have as well. Snaps all around!
