Michael Bay wants you to know there's no beef between him and Kate Beckinsale!
Last week, the actress appeared on The Graham Norton Show where she seemingly shaded the Transformers director for telling reporters she "wasn't so attractive" during press for the film Pearl Harbor.
While Beckinsale's comments certainly didn't paint the filmmaker in a positive light — almost bashing him for his way of working with women — Bay released a statement on his website letting everyone know that Kate was totally JK!

On Wednesday, the director posted a photo of a Pearl Harbor poster featuring the actress, writing:
"Yesterday I read in the press that I don't think Kate Beckinsale is ‘a stunning beauty,' huh? And they went on to suggest that Kate and I don't like each other? Well, totally untrue. Kate and I are friendly. She is a fantastic actress, very funny, witty lady, sassy, speaks her mind, and I truly respect her."
We wonder if she feels the same way about the director? LOLz!
Bay explained that a "tabloid-esque reporter" turned Beckinsale's anecdote into "some scandalous confrontation" — when in reality, he "spoke to Kate today and she felt she told a funny story."
In the interview, Kate remembered being required to work out in order to get the part, as she just gave birth to her daughter at the time — but in Bay's defense, he said:
"Note to reporters: 95% of leads in movies have trainers and drink green juice!"
Do YOU think the actress was telling a funny story — or was she trying to expose a director's misogynistic tendencies? Or both..?
