Selena Gomez is gonna kill em with kindness!
And while her former BFF Demi Lovato decided to cancel her NC concert with Nick Jonas to protest House Bill 2 — the bill that forces transgender individuals to use the bathrooms that correspond to their biological sex — the 23-year-old is fighting for LGBT rights a little bit differently.

Miz Gomez will still perform on June 7 at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina, but will donate the proceeds from her Revival Tour stop to a local LGBT group.
The pop princess gave Billboard a statement about the show, saying:
"I am very fortunate to have grown up in a home where I learned from an early age that everyone should be treated equally. I went back and forth on whether I should cancel my concert in North Carolina and ultimately I think what is right for me is to move forward with my show and donate a portion of the proceeds to Equality North Carolina and their effort to defeat this act of discrimination."
And even though the brunette beauty was toying with the idea of pulling the plug on the performance altogether, she explained that part of the reason she was swayed to save the show is that her fans can use whatever bathrooms they want at the arena:
"I've been reassured the venue I will be performing in has gender neutral bathrooms as I want everyone coming to my show to be welcomed. I feel like my generation is the most progressive one yet and believe there will be a day soon when laws like HB2 won't even be a consideration."
Well said, Selly!
We love that Selena is fighting for equality and STILL giving her fans a fab show!
