Titi Pierce, a real estate agent and electronics engineer in Warner Robins, GA, filed a lawsuit against the funnywoman contending that a February 22 episode of The Ellen Show went too far in making fun of her name — and failing to blur out her cell phone number.
Pierce, whose name is pronounce 'Tee Tee,' was jokingly called 'Titty' by the talk show host on air, and after Ellen's producers failed to blur her cell phone number when her picture was shown on the episode, the Georgia woman alleges than hundreds of people called her during the funeral of a family member.
Now, she's suing Ellen for defamation, false light invasion of privacy, misappropriation of likeness, and intentional infliction of emotional distress — all while claiming Ellen shouldn't have made an inappropriate joke about her breasts, either.
Pierce says the kicker here is she alerted the show about censoring the phone number AND correcting the pronunciation of her name after the original February air date — but when it re-aired again on April 15, there were NO changes to either part of the segment.
However, apparently a segment of the video posted to Facebook DID have the phone number blurred out. Sketchy, sketchy!!
The lawsuit was pretty straightforward with its allegations (below):
"As a direct and proximate result of the Defendant's conduct, Ms. Pierce has suffered stress, emotional distress, embarrassment, humiliation, anger and other mental pain and suffering."
No comment yet from Ellen's camp, but we'll be very interested to see how they approach this lawsuit.
Either way, now you ALL know how to pronounce the name 'Titi Pierce'… Ha!!!
Taking to Facebook to recap his experience at the "post Trump inaugural fun and games," the journalist remembered watching Donald's mouthpiece punch a dude (actually!!!)... and this was all after a shouting match between actor Scott Baio and "a bunch of anarchist thugs" (Gasparino's words, not ours).
