Paris Jackson is recovering the best way she knows how!
As we've previously reported, Paris has gotten A LOT of ink over the past few months. From tributes to her late dad Michael Jackson to random lip tats, Ms. Jackson has become a regular at the tattoo parlor!

Unfortunately for the 18-year-old, some fans have questioned her new hobby and fanatic interest in body art. It's not too much of a surprise since tattoos aren't for everyone, especially when they're done in quick succession at such a young age.
Despite all the haters out there, P.J. is standing by her decision to get inked and on Tuesday she took to Instagram to explain her stance. Apparently Paris' collection of tattoos have a deeper meaning than we first thought.
According to the newly legal adult, she got the tats in an effort to cover up her "scars" and "past of self-hatred". The blonde also went on to describe how far she has come in her life emotionally.
For those who've followed Jackson over the years, this admission makes sense since she attended a program for teens struggling with mental health issues a few years ago and the fact that she unsuccessfully attempted suicide in 2013. We imagine the Los Angeles resident carries a lot of physical reminders of those dark times.
Check out the beauty's emotional and inspiring message about her body art (below)!
the craftsmanship of tattoos will always be a controversy. some people like them, some people absolutely hate them. i appreciate art, i always have. especially when that art means something to me. today i can look at my inner forearms and see art that has meaning for me, i don't see a dark past anymore. my scars and past of self-hatred have been covered by loving marks, creativity, ingenuity.. and depth. sure i will always carry my past with me, but i see ink as a way of changing for the better, always improving. they represent strength for me. i look back at my old self and then i look in the mirror, and i see a fighter looking back at me. i'll always keep fighting, and encouraging others to stay strong. we all go through hell every now and then but it makes us the warriors of love we were meant to be. so to anyone struggling, it gets better. you're not alone.A photo posted by Paris-Michael K.
