The gorgeous gal admitted that she has signed with Atlantic Records, and she's saying so long to the pop princess we've come to know in the past 15 years.
Instead, Miz Clarkson announced that she will be making a SOUL album with the record company, which is slated to drop in 2017!
The momma-of-two took to Facebook Live to break the big news, saying:
"I'm so excited because they want to make the album that I've been dying to make since I was a kid, and since I was on Idol. Everybody's been asking me to make a soulful record for years."
She also added that a very special someone is really looking forward to this new sound, adding:
"My mom has wanted this for years. This one's for my mom, too."
To celebrate, the singer showed off her powerful pipes with a cover of Ben E. King's Stand By Me, as a thank-you to her faithful fans!
And as an added bonus for her devoted followers, Kells set up KellyClarksonLive.com, where she's sharing fan-requested covers for free!
"I think there should be a reward for being so loyal and so cool. And y'all been asking for these, so I'm going to give you today four songs for free on KellyClarksonLive.com."
Currently, you can find Kelly's versions of Creep by Radiohead, Fix You by Coldplay, I'd Rather Go Blind by Etta James, and Ready For Love by Indie.Arie.
And, you can also stream a video of Kelly singing Tightrope off her last album.
The fierce female explained that this new project brings her back to her Idol roots, since she got her start doing covers on reality TV! Plus, she dished that every last Friday of the month, she's going to give away free stuff! Amazing!
And if you're excited about Kell's switch to soul, brace yourself for the musician to change her sound again at some point down the road!
That's because she also said she eventually plans to make a country record, too! And thanks to her fans, she's not afraid to do something so drastically different:
"I love that my fans will follow me regardless of whether I'm doing something pop or country or broadway stuff or doing whatever it is. Y'all are down for the ride."
