While you may know about some of the crazy stories about accidents or dead bodies found thanks to the new mobile game, Steven Cary's story of may be the most careless.
Cary, a former Marine, was attempting to catch some Pokémon around 10:44 pm EST in Auburn, New York — WHILE DRIVING his brother's car — when he went off the roadway and crashed into a tree.
Thankfully, the 28-year-old was not seriously injured as he only had to have a cast put on his leg and few stitches in his left elbow. However, the front end of his bro's car was smashed up pretty bad.
The former military man already knows what he did was stupid, chalking it up to a "momentary lapse of reason" when he saw a Lapras — a Pokémon he's really wanted — appeared on his phone. During an interview with Syracuse.com on Thursday, he even admitted:
"I can't blame the game for my own stupid move."
The gamer is lucky to be alive as the car was completely wrapped around the tree and the engine ended up in the passenger's seat!
In the since-deleted posts, the reality star exclaimed that the many shootings in which officers kill unarmed black men have "nothing to do with race," and even included the "all lives matter" hashtag.
