Swallowing your pride and recovering a friendship is never an easy move, no matter how necessary, so when it came time for Teresa Giudice to mend fences with Jacqueline Laurita on Real Housewives of New Jersey, it wasn't the easiest process in the world.

In a preview clip for the Sunday, July 17 episode of RHONJ, we see Teresa giving Miz Laurita a New Year's Eve phone call, as Teresa tells new cast member Dolores Catania, so "maybe we can rekindle our friendship."
The Giudice momma keeps saying that since it's New Year's Eve, a "new year, new beginnings" type of thing might happen with her and Jacqueline and… yeah, no, it doesn't.
Things start out OK when Jacqueline seems receptive to the phone call, but there's a little hitch — she's got Teresa on speaker phone, and T's cousins Rosie Perri and Kathy Wakile are there, too.
Not a great peanut gallery to try to mend fences!!!

Surprisingly, everything was moving along just fine until Kathy and Rosie butted in, blasting Teresa for not being invited to her Christmas party — awkward!
Teresa pointed out the problem she had with effectively being ambushed by her cousins while trying to re-build a friendship:
"It took me a little off-guard, because it sounded like I didn't call Jacqueline, it felt like I called my cousins instead."

Hey, there's always next year, right? Ha!!
