You can't win 'em all…
Tuesday marked a big day in the world of music as MTV announced the nominees for the 2016 MTV VMAs!
As you've surely seen by now, Beyoncé, Adele, Rihanna, Drake, Justin Bieber, and Ariana Grande stole most of the attention from their fellow artists with at least three nominations a piece — Queen B even got 11!

However, as is the case for every major awards show… not everyone could be as lucky.
Just look at Meghan Trainor!!!
The girl won the Grammy for Best New Artist this year, but somehow couldn't even get a single nod for No or Me Too!
But she wasn't alone…
Selena Gomez's Hands to Myself, Nick Jonas' Close and Under You, Demi Lovato's Confident, and Little Mix's Hair all failed to get any lovin', much to the disgust of their fans.

It's worth noting that Taylor Swift technically got some recognition for Calvin Harris and Rihanna's This Is What You Came For under her Nils Sjoberg pseudonym — but both Wildest Dreams and Out of the Woods were eligible this time around, so she sadly won't be defending her Video of the Year title next month!
Did your favorite artist make the cut??
Or are they going to be watching the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards from home on Sunday, August 28 at 8 p.m. EST on MTV?!
