In a conversation withJames Corden on Thursday night, Hugh opened up on a ton of topics including his "2007 breakdown" and his son's scary relationship with ghosts. Let's just say Mr. Grant has had a CRAZY past few years!
While we know the actor has struggled with a few things in his life (who could ever forget his infamous arrest in 1995), we had no idea there was once a time when he couldn't stop crying.
According to the father of four, he descended into "madness" after a trip to Maldives:
"I went mad in 2007. I got massaged into madness. I got on the plane to go home, open a newspaper reading the football results - and burst into tears. And I couldn't stop crying for three weeks. It was completely absurd."
Aww. Everyone goes through hard times… even celebs!
Apparently H.G.'s inner turmoil got SO bad he ultimately made the decision to seek professional help:
"I'd go to a cafe and they'd say, 'You want skimmed milk or regular?' and I'd burst into tears. So I went to see shrinks then."
Considering the star is now a working and doting dad, it's obvious the therapy did him good!
But wait, that's not the only drama Hugh has encountered over the years — apparently one of his sons is a total ghost magnet!
Luckily for the 55-year-old's boy, the concerned poppa hired a "ghostbuster" to solve the spooky problem. Watch the vid (below) to see how the visit panned out!
